About Us
Namory is made by a small, independent team of developers who believe that the most important software is the kind that quietly improves everyday life — not apps that demand your attention, but ones that work for you in the background.
Our Story
Like most things worth building, Namory started with a personal frustration. We kept forgetting things about people we genuinely cared about — a friend's new job, a colleague's kid's name, a birthday we had every intention of remembering. Our contacts apps stored numbers. Our notes apps stored facts. But nothing helped us remember the person.
So we built Namory for ourselves first. A quiet place to keep the context that makes relationships real. No feed, no notifications designed to pull you in — just a simple, private record of the people in your life and what matters about them.
What started as a personal tool became something we wanted to share. Because if we were struggling with this, we suspected a lot of people were too.
Who We Are
We're a pair of independent developers — not a venture-backed startup, not a large company with a growth team. Just two people who care about building software that is genuinely useful, respectful of your privacy, and designed to last.
We work slowly and deliberately. We don't chase trends. We ship things when they're ready and we stand behind what we build.
What We Believe
Software should earn its place in your life. It should do one thing well, get out of your way, and never exploit your time or attention. We built Namory around a few principles we hold firmly:
- Privacy by default. Your relationship data is personal. It stays on your device. We have no servers storing your memories, and we intend to keep it that way.
- No engagement tricks. We don't optimize for time-in-app. We won't add a feed, a social layer, or notifications designed to pull you back in. Namory should feel calm.
- Simple, not simplistic. We work hard to make Namory easy to use without dumbing it down. Good design is doing the hard work so you don't have to.

We read every message that comes in. If you have a question, a bug report, or just something you want to share about how you use Namory — we'd love to hear from you.
