Notifications in Namory
Local reminders that stay on your device
Namory uses iOS notifications to remind you about upcoming dates, tasks, and reconnect nudges. These notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
What Namory can notify you about
Depending on what you’ve set up, notifications can include:
- A date-style reminder on the day (for example, a birthday)
- A lead reminder (for example, “in 3 days”) if you chose a lead time
- A task reminder at a specific date and time
- A reconnect nudge based on relationship rhythm
Turning notifications on
If notifications are off, Namory may show an Enable Notifications option in Settings. iOS may also show its own system prompt.
If you previously denied notifications, iOS requires you to re-enable them in the system Settings app.
Reminder time
For date-style reminders and reconnect nudges, Namory uses a daily reminder time you can adjust in Settings (for example, 9:00 AM).
Task reminders use the specific time you set on the reminder itself.
Why notifications might not arrive
If you expect a notification and do not see it, a few common reasons:
- Notifications are disabled for Namory in iOS Settings.
- The reminder is in the past, or the task has already been completed.
- Focus, Do Not Disturb, or Notification Summary is delaying or quieting alerts.
Privacy note
Namory schedules notifications on-device and does not send your relationship notes to a server.
