Next Time items
A lightweight list of things to bring up next time
“Next Time” is a short list on each person’s profile for conversation anchors: the topics you want to remember to ask about, revisit, or follow up on the next time you talk.
How Next Time is different from reminders
Next Time items are intentionally simple:
- No date: they are not scheduled.
- No notifications: Namory will not alert you for them.
- Conversation-focused: they exist to help you show up thoughtfully.
Dates and reminders are better for things that have a specific day or time.
When to use Next Time
Next Time is a good fit for:
- “Ask how the new job is going.”
- “Follow up on the trip they mentioned.”
- “Bring up the book recommendation.”
If something needs to happen on a certain day, consider a task reminder instead.
Archiving items after a conversation
When you’ve covered a topic, you can mark the item as done. In Namory, Next Time items are archived, not “completed,” so you can unarchive them if you want to bring them back.
Keeping the list small
Next Time works best when it stays short. If the list gets long, consider:
- Converting time-sensitive items into reminders
- Capturing extra context as a note instead
