Dates, reminders, and tasks in Namory
Remember what matters, without turning life into a checklist
Namory uses one flexible system to help you remember important moments and follow-through:
- Dates & reminders: birthdays, anniversaries, and one-off moments you do not want to miss
- Tasks: reminders that need an action, with a checkbox you can mark done
Two kinds of reminders
In Namory, a reminder can behave in two ways:
Date-style reminders
Date-style reminders are for things like birthdays and milestones.
- They show up under
Dates & Reminderson a person’s profile. - They can be one-time or repeat every year.
- You can optionally choose a lead time (for example,
1 day before).
Task-style reminders
Task-style reminders are for follow-through, like “send the link” or “check in about the intro.”
- They can include a specific date and time.
- They show a checkbox so you can mark them done.
- Once completed, they stop notifying you.
Repeat every year
If you turn on Repeats every year, Namory treats the reminder as a yearly date. This is useful for birthdays and anniversaries, where the month and day matter more than the year.
Lead time (“Remind me”)
For date-style reminders, you can choose whether Namory should remind you:
Same day1 day before3 days before1 week before
If you choose a lead time, Namory may schedule both a lead notification and a day-of notification.
Where these show up
You’ll see reminders in two main places:
- On a person profile, under
Dates & Reminders - On the
Plantab, where upcoming dates and tasks are grouped by time (likeTodayorThis Week)
